IBM, Microsoft, Acciona, Altran Latest to Seek High-Tech Applicants in Medellin
According to one such posting this month, Acciona is seeking a Medellin-based controller for its construction projects throughout Colombia.
According to Acciona, the company is seeking a candidate with 10 years experience in financial controls including expertise in accounting, taxes and project administration. An “indispensable” requirement is that the candidate must have a high level of fluency in English as well as good command of other languages (including Spanish).
Meanwhile, global tech giant Altran – employer of 21,000 professionals and boasting 500 major clients in Europe, Asia and the Americas – is seeking a systems engineer with experience in telecom, industrial, systems and electronics.
Similarly, tech giant IBM is seeking a project team leader. The team would have “overall performance responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables, which includes applying techniques for planning, tracking, change control, and risk management,” according to IBM.
Meanwhile, Microsoft is seeking an account executive in Medellin, according to the company.
“As an enterprise Account Executive in Microsoft’s Colombia [unit] based in Medellin, you will lead an outstanding sales team for seven corporate accounts in the mixed industries,” according to the company.
“Your primary responsibilities will include revenue growth for Microsoft products and services, customer satisfaction, partner integration, strategic competitive wins, delivering industry solutions and increased operational efficiency for your clients. You are expected to build trusted advisor relationships with key Business (e.g. CxO and VP) and Technical (e.g. CIO, CTO, and Architect) decision makers and cause them to prefer Microsoft products over the competition when building business solutions,” according to the company.
On another front, global industrial giant Siemens Health Care is seeking a key account manager (KAM) for Medellin.
This manager would be responsible for product and service sales and marketing to new and existing clients for the Siemens critical-care division, according to the company.
