Grupo Nutresa 2Q 2025 Net Income Soars 189% Year-on-Year

Medellin-based multinational foods giant Grupo Nutresa announced July 28 that its second quarter (2Q) 2025 net income jumped by 189% year-on-year, to COP$477 billion (US$114 million).

Revenues rose 16% year-on-year, to COP$5.1 trillion (US$1.22 billion), while earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) rose 32% year-on-year, to COP$748 billion (US$179 million).

As for first half (1H) 2025, net income is up 84.8% year-on-year, to COP$712 billion (US$170 million), with revenues up 14%, to COP$10 trillion (US$2.4 billion) and EBITDA up 24%, to COP$1.5 trillion (US$358 million), according to the company.

“Grupo Nutresa’s sales are showing dynamic growth in both Colombia and the rest of the región,” according to the company.

“In Colombia, [1H 2025] sales show a growth of 9.6%, to COP$5.8 trillion [US$1.38 billion]. Significant growth is seen in the chocolate, biscuits, coffee and ‘other’ business units, while international revenue amounted to COP$4.2 trillion [US$1.004 billion], representing a 22.1% increase.

“In a global scenario defined by geopolitical uncertainty and volatility that impact the cost of raw materials, the company has demonstrated remarkable resilience in the strategic and financial management of its supplies.

“During this period, the group’s [1H 2025] gross profit amounted to COP$3.8 trillion [US$909 million], representing a 9% increase compared to the same period in 2024,” the company concluded.
