Mineros SA 3Q 2025 Net Income Jumps 84% Year-on-Year
Medellin-based international gold miner Mineros SA announced November 5 that its third quarter (3Q) 2025 net income soared 84% year-on-year, to COP$215.6 billion (US$56 million).
“This increase is largely explained by higher gross profit [from a 40% jump in world gold prices] and increased financial income,” according to the company, which recovers alluvial gold in-and-around the Nechi River here in Antioquia, as well as land-based mining in Nicaragua.
Revenue for 3Q 2025 increased by 36%, to COP$783 billion (US$204 million), while gold ounces sold rose 2.3%, to 54,862 ounces.
Meanwhile, “the total cost-of-sales increased by 30% compared to the same period of the previous year, mainly due to the increase in gold prices, which raised the cost of purchasing ore from artisanal mining cooperatives in Nicaragua and formalized miners in Colombia, [along with] slight increases in overall operating costs across the company’s operations, including personnel costs, maintenance and repair costs, and an increase in depreciation and amortization,” according to the company.
At the Nechí alluvial property, “Mineros is exploring for alluvial gold, predominantly east of the Nechí River, where the company currently operates mining in Quaternary alluvial sediments,” the company added.
