Grupo Argos 2Q 2026 Net Income Dips 8% Year-on-Year
Medellin-based Grupo Argos – parent of cement/concrete giant Cementos Argos, electric-power producer Celsia and highways/airports concessionaire Odinsa – announced August 14 that its second quarter (2Q) 2026 net income fell 8% year-on-year, to COP$184 billion (US$58 million), down from COP$200 billion (US$63 million) in 2Q 2025.
Despite the profits dip, 2Q 2026 revenues actually rose 5% year-on-year, to COP$2.8 trillion (US$892 million), while earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) also rose 10% year-on-year, to COP$714 billion (US$227 million), according to the company.
Highlights of 2Q 2026 included “strength in Colombia” for its Cementos Argos unit, margin gains in its Celsia unit, and Odinsa’s move into water infrastructure, which “expands the geographic diversification and revenue streams” for what previously had been Odinsa’s exclusive focus on airports and highways, Grupo Argos noted.
