Grupo Nutresa 1Q 2026 Adjusted Net Income Rises 12% Year-on-Year
Medellin-based multinational foods giant Grupo Nutresa on May 11 reported first quarter (1Q) 2026 net income — “adjusted for non-recurring expenses and unrealized foreign exchange differences” — at COP$343 billion (US$94 million), up 12.1% year-on-year.
However, “when including the aforesaid non-recurring expenses and foreign exchange differences,” then Nutresa posted a 1Q 2026 net loss of COP$15.3 billion (US$4.2 million), according to the ocmpany.
As for 1Q 2026 earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA), Nutresa saw a 42% year-on-year hike, to COP$1.04 trillion (US$284 million), with margin on sales at 20%, according to the company.
In Colombia, Grupo Nutresa revenues rose 14% year-on.year, to COP$3.3 trillion (US$900 million), while international revenues in U.S. dollars rose 8.3% year-on-year, to US$517.9 million, according to the company.
“Considering the marked appreciation of the Colombian peso [against the U.S. dollar] during the period, the Group records total revenues of COP$5.2 trillion [US$1.4 billion], 6.6% higher than those of 1Q 2025,” while sales volumes grew by 2.5% year-on-year, the company added.
