Conconcreto 1H 2026 Net Income Drops 56% Year-on-Year
Medellin-based highways-construction and real-estate developer Conconcreto announced August 14 that its first half (1H) 2026 net income fell 56% year-on-year, to COP$23 billion (US$7.3 million), from COP$36 billion (US$11 million) in 1H 2025.
“This reduction is mainly due to the [Colombian government] wealth tax and lower income from the equity method,” according to Conconcreto.
On the other hand, 1H 2026 revenues actually rose 11.8% year-on-year, to COP$216 billion (US$69 million), thanks to “increased project execution.”
As for construction and infrastructure-project backlog at the end of second quarter 2026, Conconcreto reported a COP$1.9 trillion (US$607 million) backlog, “ equivalent to 1.9 years of execution at a rate of COP$1 trillion [US$319 milion] per year,” according to the company).
“The decrease in backlog is in-line with projections, taking into account the sale of real-estate assets in the United States,” according to the company.
The backlog includes new construction contracts including the “Cangreja,” “Pastorcita” and “La Pastora” bridges for Medellin’s Eastern Tunnel Concession expansion, linking the city to its international airport at Rionegro.
Backlog also includes expansión of the Las Palmas highway interchange for the Eastern Tunnel, the company added.
As for its U.S. projects, Conconcreto reports holding a 25% stake in the 192-unit “Lyra” residential development in south Florida, as well as the “Century Town Center” multi-family residential project in Doral, Florida.
“As part of Conconcreto LLC’s portfolio rebalancing, it was decided to replace non-performing assets (Crystal Lot) with value-generating assets,” the company added.
