Mineros 2Q 2026 Net Income Dips 12% Year-on-Year
Medellin-based international gold mining giant Mineros SA announced August 5 that its second quarter (2Q) net income fell 12% year-on-year, to COP$160 billion (US$50 million), versus COP$180 billion (US$56 million) in 2Q 2025.
Despite the profits dip, 2Q 2026 revenues actually rose 24% year-on-year, to COP$961 billion (US$302 million), an all-time record.
“Adjusted” earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) for first half (1H) 2026 were up 70% year-on-year, to COP$260 billion (US$82 million), but the report doesn’t show EBITDA for just 2Q 2026.
So far this year (1H 2026), Mineros credits revenue and earnings growth on higher gold production and “favorable” global gold prices.
Cash cost of US$2,204 per ounce of gold for 2Q 2026 was “in line with guidance,” while all-in sustaining cost (AISC) at US$2,348 per ounce was “below guidance projections,” according to the company, which operates a giant alluvial gold operation here in Antioquia, Colombia.
As for its Hemco underground gold mining in Nicaragua, that property “is on track to reach the upper limit of guidance, while costs remain within the expected parameters,” according to Mineros.
Corporate-wide gold production of 60,253 ounces in 2Q 2026 rose 12% year-on-year, which “reflects widespread operational strength across both properties: the Hemco property contributed 37,594 ounces (+14% year-on-year) driven by higher processing volumes and improved metallurgical recoveries, while the Nechí [Antioquia] operation contributed 22,659 ounces (+9% year-on-year). Consolidated first-half production reached 118,103 ounces,” according to the company.
“Gold sales of 59,639 ounces (61,849 gold-equivalent ounces) in 2Q 2026 were 11% higher increase over 2Q 2025,” according to the company.
“Silver sales of 150,681 ounces in 2Q 2026 were more than double the 70,733 ounces sold in 2Q 2025, which reflect the continued success of the metallurgical optimization program at Hemco’s processing plant,” Mineros added.
