Nutresa 9-Months 2026 Profits Fall 61% Year-on-Year

Medellin-based multinational foods giant Grupo Nutresa announced October 30 that its profits for nine-months 2026 fell 61% year-on-year, to COP$380 billion (US$118 million).

Revenues for nine-months 2026 rose 0.4%, to COP$15.4 trillion (US$4.8 billion), while earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) rose 21.6%, to COP$2.8 trillion (US$873 million), according to the company.

“Colombia remains a growth engine for the organization, with sales reaching COP$10.0 trillion,” up 11.6% year-on-year, according to the company.

“Amid a significant revaluation of the Colombian peso [up sharply against the U.S. dollar], international sales totaled US$1.523 billion,” down 0.3% year-on.year, the company added.

The rise in EBITDA — excluding non-recurring expenses – incorporated an EBITDA margin of 19.1%.

“By business unit, notable [revenue] growth was seen in ice cream (+26.0%), food service (+23.2%), restaurants (+17.7%), and coffee (+6.4%),” according to Nutresa.

Commenting on the results, Nutresa President Jaime Gilinski added that “a rigorous focus on operational excellence has enabled us to maintain profitability, even while navigating regional exchange-rate volatility,” with the U.S. dollar falling sharply against the Colombian peso over the past year.
