Among recent Medellin job postings to LinkedIn:

1. Corpbanca: Business Consultant (Consultor de Negocios).

CorpBanca’s brokerage subsidiary (Helm Comisionista de Bolsa) is seeking a candidate that would be in charge of providing economic, commercial and financial advice to Helm’s personal and corporate clients with an emphasis on fixed-income and equity investments involving Colombian-peso markets.

The candidate would have experience in administrative and financial areas (preferably in a brokerage), with a “medium” command of English. Candidates should send their applications to:

2. Samsung: Key Account Manager (KAM).

The candidate for the KAM position would be in charge of sales for designated clients as well as developing and managing product strategies for different clients.

The candidate also would build new client relationships, assure compliance with sales targets, manage promotions and control stocks at stores.

The candidate must be a professional in marketing, industrial engineering, administration and at least three-years’ experience in sales, according to Samsung.

English command must be “at least 70%” and command of Excel is “important,” according to Samsung.

Samsung’s global businesses categories include advanced technology, semiconductors, skyscraper and plant construction, petrochemicals, fashion, medicine, finance and hotels.

3. Accenture Colombia: Systems, Applications & Products (SAP) consultant for Project Systems (PS), Project Portfolio Management (PPM) and Commercial Project Management (CPM).

The candidate consultant would be assigned to projects in Medellin and Cali, according to Accenture.

Desired skills and experience include at least five years experience as a “mid-senior level” engineer in projects implementing SAP, PPM and CPM.

4. Fortinet: Major Account Manager.

The candidate would “manage and drive direct sales engagements into a set of named accounts including Fortune-1000 accounts and strategic partners,” according to Miami-based Fortinet.

“Your focus will be to create and implement strategic account plans focused on attaining enterprise-wide deployments of Fortinet products and services” as well as “coordinate with appropriate internal groups to generate and deliver winning Contract Bids, Proposals, RFI/RFP responses and statements of work.”

The candidate must have a “proven track record of quota achievement and demonstrated career stability” as well as “experience in closing large deals” and “excellent written and verbal communication skills.”

5. ITSTK: Accounts director.

The candidate accounts director would handle Medellin, Cali and coastal Colombian accounts, as well as oversee the growth of a Peruvian subsidiary.

The candidate would be responsible for generating new-business as well as be responsible for closing business deals

Desired skills and experience include at least three-years’ experience in software sales and service, public contract bidding, a list of client contacts, plus English reading and writing command.

ITSTK describes itself as an IT service consultant operating in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru, as well as an IT business partner with Hewlett Packard Enterprise, SAP, Amazon, Veeam and, Kaseya.


6. Philip Morris International: Sales manager.

The candidate manager would “maximize sales, distribution, visibility and contacts for Philip Morris [PM] brands in the covered territory” and “develop retail engagement and advocacy at the outlet level through the effective utilization of resources to grow profitable PM volume and market share,” according to the posting

The candidate sales manager for Philip Morris (a global tobacco-industry giant) would “plan and prioritize activities to achieve territory targets and maximize return on the investments, setting objectives for every retail store that reflect the profile of the store and the consumer segments within that store; allocating budget and resources available, linked to specific touch point targets related to customer and consumer profile.”

While related experience “is not required,” field or sales experience “is a plus.” The candidate also must be “proficient” in English, according to the posting.

7. Wipro: Business Development Manager.

The candidate would be “accountable for new business development and revenue from new clients,” according to Wipro.

“The role demands knowledge and experience of new business development activities through direct sales” as well as “developing strong relationships with the customer leading to deep understanding of their products and long-term business strategies.”

The candidate also would “build and maintain a network of public and private customer contacts and partners in the region” as well as “own and periodically review the accounts receivable status from the new accounts as per the cash-flow plan.”

The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree or higher, with minimum of five years’ experience in a hospital setting selling medical devices, solutions and/ IT services, according to Wipro.
