Renault, Ernst & Young, High-Tech Companies Seek Bilingual Medellin Candidates
Medellin continues to spark demand for high-tech and management-level professionals – especially those with bilingual (Spanish-English) skills — as evidenced by a continuing flurry of postings by multinationals as well as national companies.
Among several recent postings to Linkedin:
EY: Global consultancy Ernst & Young (EY) is seeking a senior auditor for accounting and financial services executive in Medellin.
The candidate would “develop and maintain productive working relationships with the client and evaluate the client’s level of satisfaction” with EY services, according to the posting. The candidate also would oversee the consulting project and personnel assigned to the task.
Renault: Global automaker Renault is seeking a financial control analyst at its Medellin-suburb offices in Envigado.
The candidate would be responsible for analysis, diagnosis and assurance of economic performance at the company. This would include preparation and analysis of financial planning, budgets, risk management and opportunities studies, according to Renault.
The candidate must be bilingual and have administrative and financial experience, according to Renault.
Velocity Partners: Multinational software development company Velocity Partners is seeking a quality assurance automation specialist in Medellin with experience in Selenium, Ruby, Cucumber and Phantom, as well as “excellent” communication skills in English.
The candidate also must have “strong understanding” of SDLC and multiple methodologies in software engineering and testing, according to Velocity.
Amgen: U.S.-based biotechnology developer Amgen is seeking regional medical liaison executives for its offices in Medellin, Cali and Barranquilla.
The candidate would “maximize Amgen’s value propositions through first-class medical and scientific projects, services and expertise, with key scientific customers,” according to the company.
This would include “implementing scientific programs in local territories in collaboration” as well as “performing scientific exchanges with opinion leaders.”
The candidate must have a medical degree, preferably in specialities including epidemiology or pharmacology and must be “100%” fluent in English.
Yuxi Pacific: Medellin-based software developer Yuxi Pacific is seeking a technical writer with “excellent” English skills as well as technical documentation skills, preferably with knowledge of HTML, content management systems, Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite, XML and SharePoint, according to the company.
Eymaq: U.S.-based Eymaq – a vendor of equipment and services for the mining, cement, steel, ports, and oil & gas industries in Latin America is seeking an industrial equipment sales person for Medellin and Bogota and also “some travel to Miami is required,” according to the company.
The candidate must have an engineering degree, full command of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, fluent in English and Spanish, and preferably a network of contacts and sales experience in industries including cement, steel, oil & gas, ports, energy and mining, according to Eymaq.
